Border crossing with Lithuania and Poland has improved dramatically.
Two border crossings with Poland - Lazdijai-Ogrodniki and
Kalvarija-Budzisko - now operating almost flawlessly substantially
reduced lines.
There are regular coach services from Vilnius to Riga, Tallinn,
Kaliningrad, Minsk, Warsaw, etc.
Though a modern Via Baltica highway linking Helsinki with Tallinn,
Riga, Kaunas and Warsaw in still underway, a relatively
well-developed road network and its good quality may surprise
today's traveller. Modern highways Vilnius-Kaunas-Klaipeda or
Vilnius-Panevezys allow one to enjoy a travel across Lithuania.
